Thomas McKenna joined IBRL in March 2022. He has a Bachelor’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In August of 2023, Tom was promoted to Senior Pilot Plant Specialist. He leads the DSP Team in the Pilot Plant. Previously, he worked in research and development at a chemical manufacturer in Westville, Illinois, where he scaled up industrial resin and specialty chemical technologies from the lab bench to commercial quantities. He hopes to bring to the IBRL his experience with product and process development, chemical handling and manufacturing equipment, and with lab and process procedure development.
