Third Party Lab Partnerships

IBRL has valuable partnerships with a variety of university labs and private labs around the United States. If IBRL cannot perform a specific test in our facility, we will work with one of our lab partners to arrange for the test. Please contact Suneet Takhar (srtakhar@illinois.edu) to discuss options.

Test TypeNotes
Proximate analysis (moisture, protein, starch, fiber, ash)Proximate analysis quantifies the chemical composition of food/feed including moisture, protein, fat/oil, fiber, and ash content.
Fatty acid ProfileFatty acid profile test determine the identity and quantity of individual fatty acids in lipid containing product.
Mineral AnalysisMineral analysis determine the quantity of major ( and trace minerals in food products.
Heavy metal analysisHeavy metal analysis determine the quantity of metals (Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Arsenic) and trace elements in food products that can lead to toxicity.
Amino acid profile / Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS)Amino acid profile test determine the identity and quantity of individual amino acids in protein containing product. PDCAAS testing helps determine the protein animal safe digestibility.
