Dr. Pauline Teunissen is Global Applications Leader for Grain Processing at IFF in Palo Alto, CA. In this role she is responsible for the development of the R&D strategy and management of the research project portfolio directed towards the Grain processing industry. Research is focused on the development of new and improved enzymes and yeast solutions for the Biofuels and Carbohydrate Processing industry. Dr. Teunissen has worked in this field for 15+ years and published and holds numerous patents and research papers, and has had major contributions in bringing new products to market. Dr. Teunissen obtained her M. Sc. in Food Sciences and a Ph.D in Industrial Microbiology, both from Wageningen University in The Netherlands. Prior to her current position Dr. Teunissen headed the EMEA Grain Application group at DuPont Industrial Biosciences in Leiden, The Netherlands.
