Course Description:
The Food Science & Human Nutrition Pilot Processing Plant and the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Lab are excited to partner with Silgan University to offer an in-person Better Process Control School. This 4-day course satisfies the Federal safety and training requirements set forth by the Food and Drug Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture for supervisors of operators of retorts, processing systems, aseptic processing and packaging systems, and container closure inspectors.
Course Features:
- All 3 BPCS Certifications- Retort, Aseptic, Acidified
- Lectures in the classroom and in our working Pilot Processing Plant
- An optional evening reception at a local brewery with drinks and dinner provided
- All course materials
- Lunches, a light breakfast and refreshments throughout the course
- Shuttle transportation from the hotel block
- Tours of both the FSHN-PPP and the IBRL pilot plant
