Xinglin is a senior at the University of Illinois majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition, with a concentration in food science. She started her internship at the FSHN-PPP and IBRL because she is interested in the hands-on environment to learn more about the process of creating a food product. She believes that this opportunity will familiarize her with the operations of a plant setting and different equipment, and provide her with the skills and knowledge important for any career in the food industry. Xinglin’s passion lies in research and development with a focus on prioritizing health and sustainability. Her goal is to one day see a product she’s worked on in store aisles.
