
Alex Polidore is a microbiologist with over a decade of combined academic and industry laboratory experience, specializing in biochemistry, microbial natural products, and biomanufacturing. He earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Purdue University and completed his doctorate at the University of Illinois, where his research focused on the discovery and scalable production of microbial natural products. Alex began his industry career as a Microbiology Specialist at Molson Coors, contributing to quality and innovation in yeast fermentation processes.
He later served as Head of Research and Development at a biotech startup, where he led the discovery and successful fermentation scale-up of a novel bioherbicide. His expertise spans microbial fermentation, scale-up, and product development across both established corporations and agile startup environments. He is passionate about helping drive client biomanufacturing projects forward—translating complex microbial processes into scalable, impactful solutions.
